Vedm is a product of Code24x7 Private Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). We operate the Vedm mobile applications, partner applications, and vedm.app website (collectively, the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our astrology consultation, wallet, shop, and related services.

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Vedm.

Information we collect

We collect information necessary to provide astrology services, process payments, and keep your account secure.

• Account details: name, phone number, email address, profile photo, language preference, and referral code.
• Birth and consultation data: date, time, and place of birth; gender; relationship status; questions you share with astrologers during chat, call, or intake forms.
• Wallet and transaction data: recharge history, session billing, order payments, and Razorpay payment references (we do not store full card or UPI credentials).
• Device and usage data: device identifiers, FCM push tokens, OneSignal player IDs, app version, IP address, and diagnostic logs for fraud prevention and support.
• Communications: in-app chat content mirrored for moderation and dispute resolution; support tickets and feedback you submit.
• Partner astrologer data: professional profile, verification documents, earnings, and session history (for partner accounts only).

How we use your information

• Authenticate you via OTP and maintain your session.
• Match you with astrologers and deliver chat, voice, and video consultations.
• Generate kundali, horoscope, and personalised readings based on birth details you provide.
• Process wallet recharges, per-minute session billing, pooja orders, and report purchases.
• Send transactional notifications (OTP, session alerts, order updates) and marketing messages where you have opted in.
• Improve Platform safety, detect abuse, and comply with applicable law.

When we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as needed to operate the Platform:

• Astrologers you consult receive the intake and profile information required for your reading.
• Payment processors (e.g. Razorpay) receive billing details to complete transactions.
• Infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, Firebase/Firestore for realtime chat, Agora for calls, SMS providers for OTP) process data under contractual safeguards.
• Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and fraud prevention.

Data retention

We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as required for accounting, tax, and legal obligations. Chat session metadata and billing records are kept to resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account subject to legal retention requirements.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (TLS), access controls, and secure credential storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we encourage you to keep your device and OTP private.

Your choices and rights

• Access and update profile information in the app under Profile → Edit Profile.
• Opt out of promotional push notifications in device or app settings.
• Request account deletion or a copy of your data by emailing our support team.
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, without affecting prior lawful processing.

Children

Vedm is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided data and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
